20:22- I -Under The Bridge.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]We born. We cry. We die.
There's nothing in the world more simple than that.
There will come few days when our tears will dry
But most of the time eyes'll keep being wet.
We couldn't stand a place we used to call home
So we left it and started life on our own
It would be better if we've dissapeared
Than spending our lifes in misery and fear.
Voices of cars passing on the bridge open our eyes.
New day is coming and it bring us new pain.
We spend our days counting the hours,
Looking to bridge above our heads.
And when the night covers the sky
All we hear are screams of suicides
People are jumping from the bridge above our heads
We are the witnesses of their deaths.
But we used to misery, we used to screams.
That's life we've choosen for ourselfs to live.
One day we'll leave this place under the bridge.
We will clumb up, jump and dissapear with the wind.
- II -Over The Bridge.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I remember the first time when I climbed here.
My mother was with me, I held her hand.
I was looking at water, the edge was near.
I know this is place where my life will end.
That moment seems forever ago.
I don't understand how I could know
that I'll be standing here right now.
I guess it's destiny, it's written in the blood.
Maybe pain was running through my vains
from the first moment when I opened my eyes.
But I'm sure it will remain there
Until the moment I close eyes for last time.
Now while I'm standing on the edge
cars are passing by but no one stops.
They're in a hurry, chasing their lifes
And they don't care if I end mine.
Tomorrow newspepers will write again:
Suicide took away another young life
Everyone'll care, everyone'll cry
Although they'll never've been by my side.
And when they ask people why I have gone
They'll say I've been happy all the time
That I was lovely, that I never cried.
They are so sad because I died.
But the truth is that I never smiled.
That I was always breaking inside.
But they couldn't see it cuz they didn't care.
They couldn't see it cuz they never've been there.
You think I'm running away, but I'm not.
This is my freedom, my dream, this is all I want.
I lift my wings, I don't fall, I fly!
I'm finaly living, althought you think I died.
- III -On The Bridge.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Give me... Give me your hand, don't let me fall.
I am... I am standing here but I still know...
There is no reason to turn my back on life,
There is no reason to keep breaking apart,
So just give me your hand and make me stay
Give me your hand and start to pray.
This is the prayer for you and me.
The prayer for the ones who've been standing here.
The prayer for the ones who made a step
Who fell over the bridge... and never came back.
Close it... Close your eyes and start to pray.
Forget the past. Start living for today.
New mornings will come with a song of birds.
With some new voices that that we've never heard.
With some new hope that will grow in our hearts.
So close your eyes, pray for new life to start.
This is the prayer for strayers such as we are.
They've been standing here, but now they're far.
The prayer for the ones who couldn't stand this place.
Who fell over the bridge... and finished the race.
But I won't fall and I won't go.
I'll find a strength to keep going on.
I'm standing here on the edge of life.
But I won't jump... I will survive!
